Acting Technique: Foundations

This introductory course is designed for aspiring actors with little to no prior experience. You'll learn fundamental acting techniques, including relaxation exercises, sensory awareness, and basic scene work. We'll explore the Stanislavski method, focusing on emotional recall and objective-driven performance. Expect to participate in weekly exercises and scene studies.

Voice and Speech for the Actor

A powerful and expressive voice is crucial for any actor. This course focuses on developing vocal technique for stage and screen. Individualized feedback will be provided to help each student unlock their vocal potential.

Movement for Actors: Physicality and Presence

Explore the power of physical expression. This course utilizes Viewpoints and Laban Movement Analysis to enhance your stage presence and unlock your physical instrument. Shakespearean Acting: Verse and Voice

Unlock the power and beauty of Shakespearean text. This course focuses on techniques for understanding and performing Shakespeare, including scansion, rhetoric, and character development. Students will explore famous monologues and scenes, developing their vocal delivery and physical presence for the Bard's works. Experience with iambic pentameter is a plus, but not required.

Musical Theatre Performance: Triple Threat Training

Combine acting, singing, and dancing to become a well-rounded musical theatre performer. This course focuses on integrating all three disciplines to create compelling character portrayals through song and dance. Students will work on solo and ensemble pieces from various musicals, focusing on storytelling, vocal technique, and choreography.

Prerequisites: Some singing or dance experience is recommended.
